Are you fucking kidding me? That's what I've been saying alot lately while absorbing the news.
Bush put's down the NSA story they say. Bush wants to end tyranny in the world they say. Are you fucking kidding me?
What makes me say are you fucking kidding me the most though is the ratio of liberal to conservative guests on News shows these days.
The night of the SOTU CNN stacked their coverage with conservatives. Hardball that night had two conservative guests and a conservative host with one token liberal, the political loser Bob Schrum, who could hardly get a word in.
Last night's Lou Dobbs, another conservative host, if not a lockstep Bush conservative, had a panel with three conservatives and one token liberal, Hank Sheinkopf. Here was Lou Dobbs panel:
John Fund, conservative Wall Street Journal writer
Edd Rollins, conservative pollster best known for 1984 Reagan reelection campaign.
David Gergen - Republican presidential adviser
Lonely liberal Hank Sheinkopf.
That's political debate in this country. Name one liberal on primetime News TV these days? Keith Olberman doesn't count, he's just an old-fashioned newsman, which seems really liberal these days.
With equal time we might have been able to stop the war in Iraq before it started, with equal time we might have been able to keep Alito off the court. Oh what I would do for equal time.....
Balance these days means having a lockstep Bush conservative and maybe a more independant conservative on and call it even.
